De eerste echte ruzie ontstond nadat Carola zich als volgt had uitgelaten over de misstappen die Taylor begaan zou hebben...|

Met deze uitspraken stapte Greg op nogal wat tenen. Ten eerste viel de uitspraak "I adore a bitch" bij niemand in de smaak. En ten tweede kwetste hij met de uitspraak over Ridge -in de serie patient van psychiater Taylor- "and he was not crazy" iedereen die ooit therapie had gehad. De reacties waren dan ook niet mals:

Lieve (België) mengde zich ook in de discussie. Zij leest de digest-vorm van de mailinglist. Dat betekent dat zij een lange email per dag krijgt, met daarin alle berichten die die dag gepost zijn. Lieve bemoeide zich alleen in het begin met Greg, daarna spoorde ze anderen aan ook zijn berichten de prullenbank in te filteren. Haar reactie:

Zo begon het allemaal. Kleine berichten en ergernissen over en weer. Overdadig gebruik van uitroeptekens en vraagtekens in emails wekken ergernis op. Het is een wonderbaarlijk gegeven: het gebruik van hoofdletters in emailen en chatten wordt gezien als 'schreeuwen'. Het is inderdaad zo: als iemand een bericht in kapitalen typt, staat hij of zij inderdaad te schreeuwen. Een slordige interpunctie, hoe flauw ook, is vervelend.
De grootste ruzie kwam een week later. Net als met het incident van de achtergelaten baby en de Scandinavische vrouw in New York, is het eerste mailtje gebaseerd op gebeurtenissen uit The Bold and the Beautiful. Gaandeweg wordt de discussie echter persoonlijker, nog veel persoonlijker -en valser- dan de vraag van Lieve over de leeftijd van Greg.
